Helping the homeless
This year the homeless population in the Comox Valley has risen and we, along with our youth, feel the call to act and serve as the hands and feet of Jesus within the homeless community. Friday, October 8th, we will be gathering with our students for a Thanksgiving meal. And our aim is to fill 100 care packages for those without a place to call home, and deliver them within our community. We have partnered with Care-a-Van and will also be supplying them with some of the packages. If this is something you would like to support and give towards, below is a list of particular items that we're going to collect. And we're inviting you, as a Comox Valley community member, to buy and bring in these items that will go into the care packages. You will be able to bring these items into the YFC Office, Monday-Friday, betweeb 9am-3pm, up until Friday the 8th of October. |
