Urgent Help NeededOperation Christmas Child Shoe Box Campaign Volunteer Needed! The Comox Valley has long been a leading community in creating and sending shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. This year, Samaritan's Purse has an urgent need for someone to take on the role of Local Collection Week Organizer and they require a new collection location. YFC Comox Valley has graciously offered our office as a drop-off location for this vital ministry that impacts children worldwide. We are pleased to assist in the collection effort, and we have many youth eager to help build and pack large boxes ready for shipping. But Samaritan's Purse needs a volunteer to spearhead this for them. Can you give a few hours each day for a week to receive all the boxes? National Collection Week takes place during the 3rd week of November, and the volunteer organizer will need to connect with the Samaritan's Purse coordinator to ensure everything runs smoothly. Without a local organizer, the nearest drop-off locations will be in Campbell River and Port Alberni. Our community needs you! This is a great opportunity for an individual, family, or small group to lead the charge during the week and make a tangible impact! If you're passionate about this ministry, we encourage you to step up and help lead the effort. We need a person willing to lead this on behalf of Samaritan's Purse. Please prayerfully consider if this is a fit for you. As we engage and equip youth to know and follow Jesus, YFC Comox Valley sees this as an excellent opportunity for them to serve as we host a drop-off location and for staff to help serve with them. If you have any questions before reaching out to Samaritan's Purse, contact our Executive Director Robbie at, phone: 778-269-1987 or email: robbie.taylor@yfc.ca.
